Oh no, its the usual, this is my first blog posting message.
Well why am I here?
I went to a presentation by Euan Semple last night (more about that later I guess) and his ideas of giving to your network so that you can get back and the more you give the more you get, line up with a lot of my general philosophies of life.
He was strongly advocating getting out there and blogging, tweeting and whatever to share your thoughts. And maybe I've been think about that for a while and this was just the kick in the arse I needed to do something about it.
So far my use of social media has been limited, I'm a big user and a big fan of Linked-In, but my Twitter and Facebook accounts were created to support specific offers from companies and I've not used them much more than that till now. And my posts to wikis have tended to be all work related.
So that's the first post.
